Native Bunch | Native flowers and foliage
Wandering around the Sydney Flower Markets one Saturday morning, I stumbled across an intriguing looking foliage that either doesn't get a place at the markets very often or I have just never noticed it before but I immediately ♥︎'d it and took some home along with my usual daily buy of Native Flowers. It is called Corokia and is a native of New Zealand (as well as parts of Australia) Putting together a flower arrangement (pictured) using the wonderful zig-zagging form of the Corokia, I realised I had created a Tri-Nations! (Protea South Africa, Corokia New Zealand, Eucalyptus Australia) just like the Rugby Union foes All Blacks, Wallabies & Springboks. Thanks to geographical happenings millions of years ago Australia, New Zealand and South Africa have some of the most unique flora in the world and here at NativeBunch we love them all from Banksia to Protea to Flax.
