This week's Posy features the W.A. native Geleznowia more commonly known as Yellow bells. Just in time for spring the colour of this native is just as stunning as the other spring flower the Daffodil. Named after the Russian botanist, Nikolia Zheleznov, Yellow bells has one of those botanical names that does not roll off the tongue without practice! The Russian pronounce Zh as Zhay but translating this into Latin for the purposes of a botanical name Zh becomes G so although spelt Geleznowia it should be pronounced Zheleznovai. Here at Native Bunch we think Yellow bells sounds the best and we Love the vibrant Yellow!
